School Society

Who are we?

Sturminster Marshall First School School Society is a registered charity supported by volunteers; parents, grandparents, carers, and the local community.  We share the view that if our village school is thriving, so are our children and we want to help every child have fun, love learning and make lasting, happy memories from their time at Sturminster Marshall First School.

What do we do?

We fundraise to help the school buy equipment, run school trips and create brilliant, inclusive, enriching learning experiences for every child. We also run ‘non-profit’ events (like end of term discos) simply to let the children to have fun or try something new.

How do we do it?

We organise brilliant events, both big and small throughout the year, including May Day, Christmas Fayre, Cake Bakes, Discos, End of School Picnics, Fashion Shows, Second Hand Uniform Sales and Frozen Fridays. We also have fundraising going on in the background that creates a small but steady income stream from the textile recycling bin located outside the school gates and via Easyfundraising - If you haven't signed up yet, it's easy and completely FREE. 8,100 brands will donate to us when you use Easyfundraising to do your everyday online shopping - at no extra cost to you! Every donation you raise makes a difference to us so please sign up & share today.

How can you support your school?

Get involved! We would love for you to support our charity by offering a little bit of your time or expertise. You don’t need to be a committee member or attend meetings.  Simple stuff like helping at an event, providing raffle prizes, selling tickets or just switching on Amazon Smile - it all adds up. The more support we have, the better our events become and this equates directly to money raised and support for the school and the children.
