Monday 7 October 2024 Robins visit from the Dog's Trust On Monday 7th October the school had a visit from Vicky at the Dog's Trust. She gave a talk to the children about how to stay safe around dogs.

Wednesday 30 March 2022 Robins Class WB 28/03/22 This week in Robins class we have started to design windmills for Country Mouse in D&T. This is linked to our Geography topic this half term all about comparing city and countryside locations in England. After reading Town Mouse, Country Mouse we received a letterfrom Country Mouse explaining that although she wanted to stay away from the busy towns she would like to move house. It was important that we researched what windmills were before starting the design process.
Wednesday 23 March 2022 Robins Class WB 21/03/22 This week in Robins we have been very busy learning about our local area in Geography and comparing it to the city of London! To prepare for this we refreshed our understanding of the four countries of the UK and started comparing city and countryside locations. We learned about aerial photographs and used this and maps to create a Journey Line of Sturminster Marshall and drew the landmarks that we might see if we were to take a hot air balloon trip over the village.
Friday 18 March 2022 Robins Class WB 14/03/22 This week in Robins class we have been learning about the prefix 'un' (unhappy/happy, unlucky/lucky etc.) and how to use this in our sentences. We have been also joining two statements using the conjunction 'and' by first writing a statement then joining it to a partner's and swapping partners in a quickfire whiteboard game before using what we had learnt to write in our books.

Friday 4 March 2022 Robins World Book Day Have a look at our costumes and writing for World Book Day 2022.
Thursday 17 February 2022 Robins Class WB 14/02/22 Robins have worked very hard this week despite it being cut short by the storm! We began writing and editing our own versions ofStanley's Stick ready to publish them after half term. We have all worked really hard using what we learned from our book to apply this to our own independent writing.
