Class Trip
Woodpecker Class had an exciting week as we had the opportunity to visit Poole Harbour as part of our Geography topic 'Life in Poole Harbour'. We must say a massive thank you to our parent helpers for braving the cold with us! The children had the chance to take a boat trip from Poole quay all the way to Arne. We got to spot lots of wildlife local to the area. We didn't manage to spot any seals sadly but it was great fun being seeing Brownsea Island up close!
The children have been tasked with the challenge of creating their own micro-habitats in Science this week. Working in groups they had to think about how they would create a design that would attract mini-beasts to it. We will be observing our micro-habitats over the next few weeks seeing what organisms set up home there.
In Maths, the children have been focusing on their 2, 5 and 10 times tables. They have been using their reasoning skills to problem solve and there has been some fantastic discussion during our lessons. Well done Woodpeckers!
