Woodpecker's Forest School Session 6 -10/12/21

We had beautiful weather for our last Forest School session. Whilst the cold wind blew and we had to warm up with some hot chocolate around base camp, the sun was shining and we had lovely blue sky. What a way to finish our six, fantastic sessions!

As we knew we wouldn’t be at school for the Christmas break, we wanted to make sure the birds had enough food over the cold winter weeks. We used oats, seeds and lard to make some bird feeders we could hang in the trees for them to feast on. It was messy work but we think the birds are going to be well fed this Christmas!

The children were busy making potions, Christmas ornaments, dens and even their own mini allotments! Woodpecker Class have made each session an absolute pleasure and I can’t wait to go on more Forest School adventures with them soon!
