Woodpecker's Forest School Session 2 -12/11/21
Woodpeckers had a lovely slightly wet session at Forest School. We began with the game ‘Sleeping Bear’. We took turns playing the blindfolded bear listening out for anyone trying to steal our food. We had to rely on our other senses to try and catch the person.
We spotted some curious looking creatures hiding in our trees today and had the chance to make our own forest creatures using clay.
Some children chose to make nature pots using the natural resources around them.
We were very kindly donated some logs and cut branches for our site. We had the big job of moving it to our Forest School area. Woodpeckers problem solved and worked together in order to move the heavy logs whatever way worked best!
But of course, we still had time for lots of digging, den building and bug hunting!
