Welcome back!

We have had a great start to the year in Kingfishers. We drew and painted our class bird the Kingfisher and the results are stunning!

We also had a special visitor from the Dog's Trust who came in and gave us an assembly and a workshop on how to behave appropriately around dogs. We all learnt something new, like dogs do not like hugs, and how to do the superman shied if an unwanted dog comes over to you.

In English we have been looking at the magical book Leon and the Place Between where the children are learning how to write figuratively. In maths we have been learning to round to the nearest 10 and 100 while in history we have been discussing what Stone Age humans needed to survive.
