Symmetry

Woodpecker class have had another busy week. We have enjoyed writing more about the Dragon Machine. We enjoyed learning to spell words with – ment and – ness and watched some videos to help us practise this. We have also written some letters in role as George. On Friday we planned our own dragon machine story but ours is about a dragon catcher and we can’t wait to write them next week.

On Tuesday, we had a visitor from the RNLI to teach us about water safety. We all really enjoyed it and then talked and wrote about our knowledge in our PSHE lesson. We remembered lots of things!

We continued with our work on Fractions. We have been looking at whole fractions and parts. We have also been counting in halves.

In our afternoon topic maths we really enjoyed looking at symmetry. Here are some of the symmetrical patterns we made.
