Swallow's forest school
Unfortunately Mrs Baker has not been able to attend the last few sessions of forest school, however that did not stop Swallows!
We have been very busy over the last couple of weeks building dens out of all the natural materials we could find. In our first session, Mrs Baker set a challenge to see who could build a mini den to keep some cotton wool dry. We decided to recreate this and see if we could improve on last time. Luckily every team managed to keep their cotton wool dry this time!
There were lots of big logs and planks of wood. A couple of children decided to make their own nature park. I was so impressed. They created a wooden see-saw, slide and added to the existing swing! That provided us lots of fun.
One of our favourite things however was bug hunting and making bug hotels. There were so many different bugs to be found. I was very impressed with the knowledge the children had on each bug! Luckily the sun was more on our side as forest school comes to an end for now.
Well done Swallows, as usual you worked so hard and made the most out of the sessions we had!
