Shapes, Science and Celebrations

Woodpeckers have been learning about 3D shapes. They loved making some out of Polydrons.

They had a great science lesson where they made catapults from lolly sticks and enjoyed 'pinging' pompoms around the classroom. They tried to measure which pompom travelled the furthest.

Afterwards they tried to make plastic from milk and vinegar. It wasn't the most successful experiment, and lots of children want to have another go at home!

To finish the week, they made crowns to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee and enjoyed taking part in a whole school tea party on the playground in the afternoon.
