Robins Class WB 14/03/22
This week in Robins class we have been learning about the prefix 'un' (unhappy/happy, unlucky/lucky etc.) and how to use this in our sentences. We have been also joining two statements using the conjunction 'and' by first writing a statement then joining it to a partner's and swapping partners in a quickfire whiteboard game before using what we had learnt to write in our books.
We have also created story maps and then retold a well-known story to a partner using the map and a prop.
In Maths, we have been exploring measure using standard (cm) and non-standard (cubes) units of measurement and are able to explain the fundamental rules - ensure the object is on zero, the units of measurement do not overlap and that the object we are measuring is flat.
In Geography we have started learning about Sturminster Marshall and will be comparing it to another place (London) to compare town and countryside locations.
PHSE this half-term is called 'Healthy Me' and is all about how to keep ourselves healthy and safe. This week we have talked about medicine safety.
For Rights Time on Friday, Miss Badger taught us how to make playdough and we spent the afternoon making things with it.
