Blog: week commencing 7/2/2022

Friday 11th February

Kingfishers have been thrilled this week to have everyone back in class for what has been a busy week!

English- in English this week we have been finishing off our own versions of ‘The Selfish Giant’ story. We have changed the characters and/or the setting and used all our skills learnt so far to create suspense and description efficiently: I am loving reading them!

Maths- In maths this week we have been looking at fractions. We have found this a bit tricky at first but have shown our resilience and we are now becoming more confident. We will be continuing this focus next week too.

History: We have loved learning about ‘Bolshy Boudicca’ and her Rebellion this week. Especially watching the Horrible History song about her! Next week we will be looking at Hadrians wall.

Forest School: we finished the week having lots of fun at Forest school where we created our own crazy clay creature, designed its habitat and talked about who it’s predators/prey would be. We also had fun using our swing we made last week and creating new things like a rope hammock.
