Kingfisher's Forest School Session 2 -14/1/22

Kingfisher Class had a much warmer session this week! The sun was shining and the fire was burning!

Amongst the tree climbing, den building and bow and arrow making, Kingfishers had the chance to do some camp fire cooking. After carefully selecting the right stick, the children used potato peelers to whittle down the wood creating their own sharp ended cooking utensils.

Kingfishers had the chance to make campfire twists. They made a simple dough and after some kneading, were able to wrap their dough around their whittled stick. It was a messy job!

Then came the cooking part. The children were extremely careful cooking their bread twists over the camp fire. The sore arms were worth it when they got to add their golden syrup and chocolate spread toppings and dig in!
