Grow, Achieve, Inspire, Nurture. SMFS where learning is an adventure.

Friday 1st April

Woodpeckers have had a busy week. They have been enjoying their latest book called Tadpole’s Promises and have been looking at apostrophes for possession ( eg Tadpole’s promise) and for contractions (don’t, can’t). In maths they have been finishing off their work on division.

They had a very exciting time in science, where they initially matched the name of the animal to the photograph of the creature. Some of them were very challenging! Then we looked at whether they were an omnivore, carnivore or herbivore.  We are looking forward to making food chains next!

On Wednesday and Friday afternoon Woodpeckers enjoyed learning their maypole dance and are looking forward to another go next week!

In their art work, they have been continuing to work on their collages with Mrs Thomas. They are really looking great with all the colours and textures!
