Friday 19th November

Hi Everyone,

This week Woodpecker Class found some strange footprints in our classroom. After creating posters to draw people’s attention to this mystery creature we were contacted by The Natural History Museum! They told us it was the footprints of the extinct Dodo! We are going to be investigating further next week.

In Maths this week, we have been focusing on adding 1-digit numbers to 2-digit numbers using different methods. Woodpeckers worked hard using column addition and concrete materials to support them.

As it’s anti-bullying week, we did some role play in PSHE acting out scenarios and deciding whether they were bullying or not. We discussed different words we associate with kindness and made kind word hands ready for our school display.
