Fit for a King!

Last week we had fun practising maypole dancing and this week it was the excitement of the King's Coronation which ended the week. The children had a lovely Coronation tea party (fit for a King!) and sang a beautiful song which some of the older children helped to create.

Alongside that, Goldfinches had a visit to The Shire Hall Museum which helped them recreate the events of The Great Fire of Dorchester. They came back to school and wrote a recount of this.

Maths consisted of 2D and 3D shapes; comparing their properties and learning new words like vertices.

In art they finished their clay sculptures and drew some pictures of natural objects.
