Sturminster Marshall First School

Grow, Achieve, Inspire, Nurture. SMFS where learning is an adventure.

First week back!

We started a new story this week which involved the children predicting what 'Grandpa' did before he passed away by clues and objects left in his memory box. Fractions began in maths; so far we have learnt 1/2 and 1/4 of objects and numbers. History has been great fun; Year 3 (and some Year 2) have enjoyed telling us what they know about The Great Fire of London before we find out more about The Great Fire of Dorchester next week.  We made 3D natural sculptures in art and learnt about securing the models so parts do not fall off. The children loved learning their maypole dance and we would like to thank the school society for all their help with this.
