Sturminster Marshall First School

Grow, Achieve, Inspire, Nurture. SMFS where learning is an adventure.

This week in Kingfishers we have been writing a recount of the story of the Selfish Giant by Oscar Wilde. The children have been working really hard to include many writing features including speech in their writing. They are now planning the story to their own narrative about kindness.

In our maths lessons, we have been continuing with learning about division with remainders for both year 3 and 4 and although the children have been finding it challenging, they have shown perseverance and determination to complete their work. Next, fractions!

Finally, we have been spending our afternoons using digital maps to explore human and physical features between Bournemouth and Poole, Dorset and Girona in Costa Brava, Spain.
